Cantor Avi Zablocki’s Background

Cantor Avi Zablocki has been serving as a High Holiday Cantor in the United States since making aliya 25 years ago.  Cantor Zablocki studied under Cantor David Koussevitzky of Blessed Memory and attended the Cantorial Training Institute of Yeshiva University and the Ricci School of Music.

Cantor Zablocki has a rich baritone voice and integrates traditional cantorial nusach together with Israeli, chassidic, operatic, folk, pop, Broadway and Carlebach melodies with lots of congregational singing and participation.

Cantor Zablocki has been the Cantor of the Sheritan Tiberias Hotel for the past 25 years where he conducts the Passover seder without a microphone for over 400 guests.

His High Holiday congregations include:  Temple Beth Am of Los Angeles, The Jewish Center of Jackson Heights, Marathon Jewish Center of Douglaston Queens, The Jewish Center of Cliffside Park New Jersey, and Englishtown New Jersey.
